(Click photo for a larger image) Destined to become one of downtown Dallas Texas most prestigious new Condominium / Loft buildings. The Mercantile Building Condominiums are centrally located, in the heart of the revitalized central business district at 1712 Commerce Street. The retro 1950s style exterior architecture blends with modern interior architecture pointed at the next millennium. Luxurious dwellings range from 781 square feet to a sumptuous 2,460 square foot rooftop penthouse complete with pool, jacuzzi, fountain and a spectacular view of downtown Dallas. Smaller units feature one or two bedrooms with private baths and built in closets. Gourmet kitchens feature a shuttered pass through to a combination living and dining room with expansive views over the city. Mid sized from 1,056 square feet offer similar amenities with more space. Larger 1,816 square feet, units are loft style studio apartments with the added feature of a sitting room or office and 20 feet of glass providing a panoramic view over the city. The
Los Cuernos Lodge - Cotulla, Texas
Completion date: August, 1996 |
(Click photo for a larger image) Guests of Los Cuernos Ranch, situated on 4,500 acres of prime hunting land near Cotulla, Texas, are pampered in rustic luxury. The Hunting Lodge is an architectural amalgamation of typical Texas farmhouse, western frontier and modern upscale resort. Rough hewn timber railings with twig infill blend effortlessly with stately columns, chiseled limestone lintels, tall divided light windows and French doors. Sweeping verandahs on all four sides of both the first and second floors afford spacious, open air, areas for relaxation with expansive vistas of the surrounding indigenous landscape. The Lodge itself offers every amenity with library and smoking room, dining hall, kitchen, game room, and hunter’s trading post. The interiors are designed as an allusion to a luxurious safari lodge in the golden age of colonial Africa with tile and stone floors, heavy beamed ceiling and rough plaster walls all decorated with hunting paraphernalia and exotic, rare trophy heads from safari expeditions in far flung areas of the world. The Long Horn Arbor and Bar B Que offers alfresco dining under a stone and timber pergola amidst fountains, an outdoor fireplace and terra cotta planters spilling over with seasonal flowers.
